Wildflower Havanese |
Resources |
Below please find helpful websites and resources for taking good care of your Wildflower Havanese puppy. The Havanese Club of America (HCA) is the American Kennel Club designated parent club for the Havanese breed. The parent club is dedicated to researching health issues in the breed, preserving the standards that make our breed distinct, and rescuing unwanted Havanese dogs produced by breeders that do not provide a lifetime guarantee that they will be responsible for the dogs they produce. The Havanese Club of America also supports local clubs in every part of the U.S. to educate members and guests and provide support for new Havanese owners. Books we recommend: |
The Art of Raising a Puppy by the Monks of New Skete. The Monks of New Skete have been breeding and training dogs at their New York monastery for more than 20 years. Their philosophy of raising dogs accentuates the essential human-canine bond, whereby owners must learn to understand a dog's instincts, needs, and behavior. Understanding a dog, the monks say, is the key to successfully training him. |
