Our Dogs
At Wildflower Havanese, our dogs are part of our family. They live in our home and are part of our daily life. We’re proud to share our life with dogs who are as comfortable competing in Fast CAT events and exploring mountain trails as they are curled up on the couch.
A Legacy of Excellence
Our breeding program now includes third and fourth generation Wildflower dogs – a testament to the careful, thoughtful breeding decisions we've made over the years. Each generation has built upon the last, refining the qualities we value most: Sound temperament, robust health, and that unmistakable Havanese spirit.
The Wildflower reputation has grown organically, built on the experiences of families across the country who've welcomed our puppies into their homes. We don't advertise widely – our waiting list fills through word of mouth from devoted Wildflower families who can't imagine life without their Havanese.
Health & Genetic Testing
Every adult dog in our breeding program is genetically tested through Embark Genetic Lab for over 160 inherited diseases and disorders across 16 different areas of the body. This advanced DNA screening gives us – and you – confidence in the health of our puppies. We breed thoughtfully, utilizing the best technology available to ensure we're producing the healthiest puppies possible.
Active, Athletic, Amazing
Our dogs embody what a Havanese should be: Athletic, intelligent, and deeply bonded to their people. Several of our dogs have achieved national rankings in competitive events, with multiple Best in Show wins and top placements in UKC and AKC competitions. But titles and ribbons, while gratifying, aren't what drive us. What matters most is that these are dogs who thrive in the real world with their families – they are adaptable, confident, and joyful.

These are the dogs – past and present – who have shaped Wildflower Havanese. Some are still with us, active in our breeding program and daily adventures. Others have retired to loving homes across the country or crossed the rainbow bridge. Together, they represent the heart of what we do and the legacy we're building.
Our retired breeding dogs are placed in carefully selected homes where they live out their lives as cherished companions. Some join their owners beachcombing in Texas, others are therapy dogs bringing joy to children in Colorado, and all have delighted their families with their signature Havanese charm. These amazing dogs have left us with an incredible legacy, and we're grateful to the families who love them in their retirement.
